01Who we are

Planetary Horizons Ltd is a strategy consultancy registered in England and Wales. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything here at hello@planetaryhorizons.space.

02What we collect

Enquiries: when you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us about your organisation and plans.

Pre-engagement questionnaires: if you complete one of our intake forms, we receive the business information you provide — company details, capabilities, certifications and commercial context. We treat this as confidential (see our Terms).

Engagement records: during a paid engagement we hold correspondence, meeting notes and the materials needed to deliver the work, plus billing details required for invoicing and accounting.

We do not collect special-category data and ask that you do not send it to us.

03How we use it

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, prepare for and deliver consulting engagements, invoice and keep statutory accounting records, and — where you are a business contact — to send occasional, relevant updates about our services, which you can opt out of at any time with one email.

Our lawful bases are: performance of a contract (engagements), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and B2B communications), and legal obligation (accounting records). We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

04Sharing & processors

We never sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf: our website form provider (Formspree), our email and document storage providers, and our accountant — each bound by their own data-processing terms. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

05Retention

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months. Engagement records and deliverables are kept for 6 years after the engagement ends, in line with limitation periods and tax requirements, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where no legal obligation requires us to keep it.

06Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to our processing of it, and ask for it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@planetaryhorizons.space — we respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

07Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce privacy-friendly analytics in future, they will be cookie-free or this policy will be updated first.
